- German engineer R. Stein founded a «Original Stein lift» company as a design office based in St. Petersburg
1912
- R. Stein founded the first elevator factory in St. Petersburg at Izmailovskiy pr. R. Stein signes an agreements with Schindler on supplying cabins and parts. The company got an updated title «Оригинальный лифт от Шиндлера и Штейна» (Original lift from Schindler & Stein)
1914
- the factory was closed on decree of Russian authorities with the I World War broke out
1997
- Stein Ltd. Company was (re)founded at St. Petersburg
1998
- Stein Ltd. commissioned with Schindler lift with the largest load capacity at that time of 4’000 kg / ca 1’800 lbs at St. Petersburg
- Stein Ltd. commissioned with Schindler the first VF driven elevator at St.Petersburg
1999
- Stein Ltd. commissioned the first machine room less elevator in St. Petersburg

- Stein Ltd became a leader in the St. Petersburg machine room-less elevator market

- Stein Ltd terminated the collaboration act between him and Schindler. From that time provides installation and spare part under its own trademark

- Stein Ltd. commissioned first MRL elevator with belt drive in St. Petersburg. The elevator manufactured in Bavaria, Germany
- Stein Ltd. is listed in Elevator World Source 2003. Stein Ltd. became the very first and only company in Russian Federation, which is listed in this international world wide industry directory.
2003
- Stein Ltd. became company no. 1 with certificate of accreditation at Fund "Industrial Safety of North-West region".

- Elevators under trademark of Stein were commissioned in Latvia. Stein got its first references in Baltic region at point 21 E 56'29 N.
- Stein Ltd. commissioned first cargo platforms. Platforms manufactured in Sweden.
- Stein Ltd. commissioned first platforms for disabled people. Platforms are manufactured in Sweden, Spain and Switzerland.

Stein Ltd. commissioned modernized elevator for scientific vessel Akademik Fyodorov. The ship reaches the Antarctica shore two times. Stein reached its most southern point on the Earth at point 136°52' E 74°46' S.
2004
Stein Ltd. registered the first panoramic lift with central stock in Moscow. The company implemented a comprehensive supply with round glass shaft
- Stein Ltd. won several major contracts for the supply of panoramic elevators, elevators without machine room and platform for disables people in St. Petersburg
2005
Stein Ltd commissioned panoramic lift with bottom machine room at Hotel Oktyabrskaya
Stein Ltd commissioned several lifts with irregular form of the cabin to Veda-Haus
2006
Stein Ltd commissioned passenger elevator at Perm, which works at agressive environment and have travel height 100 m
Stein Ltd began to provide service for lifting equipment of different world famous lift-companies.
2008
Stein Ltd. made modernization or the lift at Mertens House and this project was nominated as a project of the year at Elevator World.
2009
Stein Ltd. commissioned a hydralic panoramic lift with jack and a vehicle lift for Audi dealer center
Stein Ltd. commissioned several panoramic lifts for Museum and galleries of contemporary art "Erarta". They took part at the performance at the Erarta's opening.
2010
- Stein Ltd. started cooperation with the magazine "Architectural Petersburg"
2011
Company Stein began to celebrate a centenary of the brand
- Stein Ltd. has launched a nbrand new site
- Stein Ltd. has signed several major contracts for the service, including South Comunity, Dolgoozerny Comunity, Fortuna Comunity.
